Hot sun, warm sea and cold turkey!

Just returned from two weeks sailing in the Bahamas; or, to be more accurate the Exumas. A chain of about 350 islands stretching out from Nassau towards Cuba. The vast majority are uninhabited.

Perfect beaches with no footprints, very shallow, crystal clear, water and only two islands where one can get food, water and internet and phone access. So I only had access twice in 14 days. Cold turkey! Or was it?

I have never been unable to look at my calls, texts and emails just twice in a fortnight. But after a few days – OK several days! –  it ceased to worry me. Cold turkey was finished! And when I did download, I ended up deleting the vast majority of my regular blogs and newsfeeds. They didn’t seem important. And now I am back I have unsubscribed to several of them. I’m not missing them and saving at least 30 minutes a day.
