Coffee with Chris Woodhams. And a serious surprise

I met up with Chris on July 12th. We catch up quite regularly. He’s the owner and CEO of Prescient Financial Services. And he is a highly prescient individual. We talked about Mike Wilson and his memorial service. Apparently there were about 800 people there. Amazing.

As usual, Chris, like Mike Wilson, always has a written list of topics for discussion. As usual I learned a great deal. And I nearly spilt my coffee when Chris produced a surprise like a rabbit out of a hat. The market cap of Aberdeen Standard is now less that the market cap of Standard Life before the merger. Actually in retrospect, I don’t know why I was so surprised. In the long term savings and investment industry 2+2=5 seldom occurs

I really welcome my meetings with Chris. Sitting down with wise people is one of life’s great gifts.
