Back from a lovely week in Edinburgh. Part business part pleasure. Happily, mostly the latter!
Interesting meeting with Fidelity in their new offices on August 13th. Seems to me that they are well positioned in the UK in terms of their intermediary channel and their direct business. They have significant experience in the US “rollover” market which has parallels with the UK drawdown opportunity.
I wonder if they may choose to launch no fee index funds in the UK. I gather that their US “free” funds are gaining significant traction and winning substantial numbers of new customers
