Up at 04.00 to fly to Edinburgh, then on to the Norton House Hotel, just a few minutes from the airport. The presentation I was asked to give was: “Life companies, platforms, mutual funds and financial advisers; alive or dead?” It seemed to go well. There were three other speakers. Fiona Tait from Intelligent Pensions on the new regulatory and other requirements for DB to DC transfers, Calum Cooper from Hymans Roberson on DB consolidation opportunities and David Ferguson, CEO of Nucleus on disruption in Financial services. They were all excellent. And, as usual, John Moret did a great job of chairing.
